Year Two Is Where the Page Goes Quiet

The renewal price is not published. We went through the material a prospective customer would read before ordering, looking specifically for a second-year figure, and came away without one. Judging by how this pattern usually works, the number is disclosed at the checkout stage or over the phone.

We are not going to print an estimate. Inventing a competitor's price would forfeit the only argument being made here, which is that a charge designed to repeat should be legible before you agree to it.

Two things can be said without knowing the number. Hawaii requires an agent on file for every year your entity remains registered, so the renewal is the real price of the arrangement. And a price learned after the vendor's address is already on your public filings is a price learned from a weak position.

Hawaii Puts Its Own Weight on Year Two

There is a local reason the second year deserves attention. Hawaii requires no annual report in the year an entity is organized. The first one comes due the following year, inside the calendar quarter your company was formed in, and the window for filing opens as soon as that quarter starts.

So year two is when the state starts asking as well: a report to file, $15 by paper or $12.50 online plus the archives dollar, and a penalty structure that reaches $100 for every thirty days of delinquency. Let it drift for two years and the entity is exposed to administrative termination under HRS § 428-1302. Stacking an unknown agent renewal on top of the year the compliance calendar wakes up is the wrong way to meet it.

There is no version of this where the agent field is allowed to sit empty for a fortnight, and an entity with an unstaffed address on the record is precisely what Hawaii's rules exist to prevent.
